Target Markets

Geographic

Working geographically with target markets means that you single out certain areas by Countries, counties, cities or towns, or Deprived areas.

Demographic

Working Demographically with target markets is when you target a certain type of person. This can be used through age, income, gender, dependence, race, hobbies, religion, occupation, or education.

Psychographic

Working Psychographically is when you look at what drives people to consume and what they think about when consuming. It could even be a way to push them to think in the moment. This is more about their Attitudes, beliefs, and emotions.

Behavioristic

This is when you look at how people consume items. This could be how loyal they are to a brand, how much the item is, the frequency of how much they purchase the type of item. Also you look at the time of year you are looking to sell it, maybe in certain seasons.

Iphone X Target market

First of all, the Iphone X is a very expensive phone, clocking up to maybe £800 Pound to buy new, meaning geographically, I will need to find the richer areas of the world to single out from maybe the poorer parts, as they most likely could not afford it therefore there would be no need to advertise something so expensive there. I think that geographically I will be putting the target market down to North America, Europe, and Australia as they are the richer parts of the worlds, other places not being too far developed. It could also be stretched to parts in Asia but the main focus of the Marketing would go towards the places I have named. Now to go down to the demographic part of the marketing. I think that I would look more at the younger generation, as they are the people who are more likely to be interested in phones and advanced technology. Furthermore, I think that it would be for working class and above people. I have already touched on money but it would need to be targeted at people who can definitely afford a phone of this cost. I would target it at people who are in slightly higher education who could have a job at the same time. It could also be targeted more at people who like technology and enjoy using it. As they are more likely to buy stuff like that easier. As for gender, religion, or race I see no difference in these markets. As far as the Psychographic part goes, you could look at people who are driven and maybe want to buy the best phone out there possible, meaning you could try to persuade them that the  Iphone X is the best phone out there, making them sway towards buying that over other phones. Finally, with the behaviouristic part of the marketing, you would look at the people who are loyal to apple and buy their products the most, letting them know it’s around and showing them it. Maybe in a mailing list or something along them lines. Also if they buy a phone every year, you could show them this and they would most likely buy it.

My persona for the Iphone X

Moodboard

The persona I created is someone who is loyal to apple in every way, showing behaviouristic marketing to them. Demographically, this moodboard shows the persona I created is a 27 year old with a very well paid job in Apple offices in the center of London. He also enjoys to play video games and likes technology. He has a good apartment in the center of London too, showing how much money he has. Psychographically, this persona is someone who likes to buy things that he likes, rather smart clothes rather than going with the trend. He also has the smart car in the Mercedes S-class which shows he likes the expensive things. Also showing in the Champagne. Finally, he is very smart and is single. He is committed to work and wants to get the most progress out of his early life as possible.
